How to Personalize on Shopify
1. Connect to your shopify store
Visit the JetPrint integration page, select Shopify, and click “Connect.” You’ll be redirected to the Shopify App Store to install the app.
Once installed, ensure the top navigation bar displays your Shopify store. If it doesn’t, you can switch stores on the integration page.
2. Select products
We offer a variety of product options, including shoes, watches, bags, footballs, cookware, and more. Choose the product you’re interested in and click “Design.”
3. Design your products
In the mockup generator, select the product attributes you want to sync under the “Product” menu bar.
Use the “Upload” menu bar to design your product and add any designs you like. A real-time preview is available in the top-right corner for adjustments.
4. Add personalized text
After designing the product page, don’t click “Save” yet. Instead, go to the left menu bar, click “Personalize” and then “Add Custom Text.” You can add up to three text boxes.
- Text 1, Text 2, and Text 3 are default titles. Label these titles to help buyers understand what to fill in each box.
- Enter Text refers to the text you want displayed on the product for customers.
To adjust a single text’s color or font, simply click on the text. You can edit personalized text in the “Personalize” menu bar.
Note: Multiple text boxes may overlap when added. Separate them as needed.
5. Publish to your shopify store
Once your design is complete, click “Save.” You’ll be directed to the product editing page, where you can select the main image, edit the product description, add tags, and set your selling price. After confirming all details, click “Publish.”
Note: Your selling price should be higher than the product cost + shipping cost.
6. Enable personalization permissions
In your Shopify admin, go to “Sales Channels” and click “Online Store.” Then, select the “Themes” section to view your current theme.
Click “Customize” to enter the theme editor, locate the “App Embeds” section, and turn on the JetPrint Customizer (it’s off by default).
Note: If you don’t enable this permission, buyers won’t be able to personalize products on your website.
7. Save your changes
After enabling the permission, click “Save” in the top-right corner.
The button at the bottom of the product page will change to “Customize,” allowing buyers to add their own text by clicking it.
